The Sinclair Broadcast Group is facing criticism for a message they are having their local news anchors deliver on the air in markets across the country.

Sinclair Broadcasting Group has come under fire after a video from Deadspin showed dozens of local stations spouting the same message warning viewers against media bias.

But pressuring the advertisers at Sinclair's 193 TV stations around the country would prove more hard than in other boycott efforts, which have targeted the national brands running ads across national platforms, such as Fox News' "The Ingraham Angle".

Then, the anchor or anchors expound on how "the sharing of biased and false news has become all too common on social media", and that many media outlets are "publishing these same fake stories without checking facts first", the script says. "This is extremely unsafe to democracy".

Sinclair's conservative views are a subject of discussion and is a factor as the company is looking to expand by purchasing Tribune Media which is now under review by federal regulators.

Instead, President Trump has ignored the threat of actual fake news and appropriated the term as a means to dismiss unfavorable coverage of himself.

"When you see just how many local stations were forced to read it, and you watch them together, as many have been doing online in the past couple of days, you begin to realize the true effect of Sinclair's reach and power", Oliver said.

Wall St. slides as US-China trade spat intensifies
US 10-year Treasury yield was last down 2.75 basis points at 2.76 percent, while gold prices went up more than 1 percent. This stock has been struggling since President Donald Trump suggested it doesn't pay its fair share of taxes.

Unsurprisingly, after reporters read the propaganda scripts, the commander-in-chief tweeted in favor of the company.

Since the release of a viral clip showing broadcasters reading a required segment on journalistic integrity, the local-TV giant Sinclair Broadcast Group has been under the microscope. Sinclair has also been accused of using its connections within the Trump administration to skirt media consolidation regulations.

Nine months ago, John Oliver pointed out the insanity going on with the broadcast company on his show Last Week Tonight.

Aaron Weiss, a former news director at another Sinclair-owned station, also told CNN he did not approve of the corporation's "conservative-slanted" must-run pieces.

This national message from Sinclair comes as regulators are considering whether to approve its almost $4 billion deal to acquire Tribune Media Co.

An investigative reporter told the cable network: "It sickens me the way this company is encroaching upon trusted news brands in rural markets". "The "Fakers" at CNN, NBC, ABC & CBS have done so much dishonest reporting that they should only be allowed to get awards for fiction!" "Shamefully, and in direct violation of the court's orders, no proper evaluation has occurred", said Free Press Deputy Director and Senior Counsel Jessica J. González in a statement.
