If you were among the many awaiting the remaster on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC, then you can expect Dark Souls: Remastered to arrive on May 25 as scheduled.

The original Dark Souls turns seven this year, and we're just now starting to feel the full weight of its influence. The Solaire of Astora amiibo was revealed at the same time the Switch port of Dark Souls: Remastered was, taking center stage during the last Nintendo Direct showcase. And what makes the delay particularly curious is the fact that the Switch version of Dark Souls: Remastered was playable at PAX East earlier this month and everything - even Blightown - appeared to be in working order.

KitGuru Says: Thinking back to the less-than-ideal PC launch of the first Dark Souls game, I can understand why developer FromSoftware and publisher Bandai Namco are taking their time with the remaster. That means we can expect to see a release anywhere between late June to September.

That is the most important thing for us, that we play as a team, as 11 players, and so each goal for me is to help the team. "If you had a choice, then of course it is the Champions League ", he told the Daily Mail .

PC/PS4/X1 versions will maintain their May 25th release date. Bandai Namco, of course, wants the figure to be released alongside the Switch version of the game. A sequel to 2009's Demon Souls, the game received praise from fans and critics for its challenging difficulty and dark atmosphere.

The Nintendo Switch version thought has been "postponed" until an unspecified point this summer, along with the previously announced Solaire of Astora amiibo.
